Probate & Estate Administration
Our firm practices in Probate and Estate Administration. Probate is the legal process by which a person's debts are paid and assets are distributed upon her or his death. Lawyers refer to the entity that owns the deceased's assets until those assets are distributed as an "estate." Estate Administration includes the probate process as well as non-probate transfers of the deceased's assets. Individual state laws direct the probate court how to distribute the deceased's estate. State laws and procedures vary greatly, so, it is important to consult a firm with expertise in this area of the law to ensure that the deceased's assets are distributed correctly.

New Hampshire recently enacted a new law that makes it more difficult for victims injured by the negligence of medical providers. Before a victim can even bring a medical provider to court, a medical screening panel must hold its own hearing to determine whether the case has any merit. This process requires knowledge and experience in such cases. Rob has the experience to represent you in such matters, and Rob can help you and your family work through this process

Cerebral Palsy

During the birth and delivery process, medical providers sometimes fail to fulfill their duties. Sometimes, the victim of this negligence is the child. In some circumstances, Cerebral Palsy can be the result. The permanent disability associated with Cerebral Palsy cannot be corrected through legal action, but our justice system does allow victims to obtain damages. Sometimes, these damage awards or settlements are very substantial. Contact Rob if you have questions about Cerebral Palsy that may have been caused by the negligence of a medical provider.
United Cerebral Palsy
Rob has represented clients injured on the job, on faulty stairs, on faulty balconies, in slip and falls on ice and snow, on dangerous parking lots, by dangerous substances and in many other scenarios. Rob will be happy to tell you whether he believes you have a negligence or related claim based on the circumstances of your case.
Rob also represents victims of intentional wrongs such as defamation, wrongful interference with contractual relations, intentional infliction of emotional distress and discrimination.

We enter into agreements frequently in our day-to-day lives. From applying for a credit card to signing for a bank loan to ordering a product on the internet, contracts are a necessary part of being a consumer or a business owner. But parties to a contract do not always agree on the interpretation of its terms or abide by those terms. And some documents are just so wordy and confusing that it is hard to know whether signing them is a good idea. Rob has prepared, reviewed, mediated and litigated a wide variety of contractual agreements. Before you enter into an important agreement or get too deeply into a disagreement, give Rob a call. He can help you make good decisions so you do not unintentionally lock yourself into unfavorable terms and help protect your rights in case of a dispute.

Unfortunately, when it comes to divorce, custody, visitation, child support and domestic violence, you need an aggressive and proactive lawyer who understands the urgency of your case. Rob is a former certified Guardian ad Litem for the NH Superior Court and he has experience in litigating contested divorce, custody and child support (custody and child support issues now legally called parental rights and responsibilities) matters for male and female clients. Useful information on this area of law can be found on these Judicial and Legislative links:

Quality legal representation in forming your business or in a business dispute is something most businesses cannot afford to do without. But it is also something they sometimes believe their business cannot afford to pay for. Rob understands your need to keep expenses down and he is willing to work with you to find a way to make legal representation affordable for your small business. This includes making sure you know what the likely costs will be before you incur them so that you can plan your business budget accordingly. Here are some helpful links for small business owners:

Set up retirement plans: Consider setting up a small business retirement plan. Several pension companies are there to carry out free analysis of plans and decide on one that best fits your needs. If your business does have a retirement plan, take the aid of a pension administrator to help you understand the maximum contribution potential in the following year, based on staff size as well as available budget.

With these few tips on tax saving, you can easily negate excess tax bills and penalties and hope for a better business growth in the upcoming financial year.

If you have suffered economic losses as a result of someone else’s deception, misrepresentation or fraud, you need an attorney who has experience with such underhanded activities. Often such cases require quick and thorough investigation to assure that evidence does not disappear before it can be lawfully obtained. Rob has experience in uncovering the trail left by unscrupulous people and he knows how to put together the evidence to meet the demanding burden of proof in fraud cases.

Saving tax legally. Write off heavy vehicles: Heavy SUVs i.e those that are constructed on truck chassis or rated over 7000 pounds of gross vehicle weight in loaded form, were usually allowed instant tax deduction to considerable amounts. While this policy worked well in the previous years, it is not deemed to exercise with equal zest in the upcoming financial years.

Which tax lawyer to choose? This can be difficult question for anyone with serious IRS debt.
There is absolutely no reason for you to pay thousands of dollars for a tax professional to do what you can do yourself.  It’s your tax problems and you care about it more than anyone you could ever hire.  The IRS collection rules do not change to your favor because you hire an attorney.  In fact, some IRS agents get cranky simply because you paid $5,000 to an attorney that  they feel could have been paid to the IRS.  You can use the methods and information I cover in the Tax Relief Kit to fix your own tax debt issue, just like many others have – and compared to attorney fees it is practically free!
For year I wondered why only a small percentage of people we spoke to didn’t go forward to resolve their tax debt.  I have come to believe that most people honestly want to solve the problem, but simply couldn’t afford our fees that started at $2,500.   The system I developed is the only way for the “little guy” to level the playing field with IRS agents and get tax relief instantly.
From what I have seen, this is the only way to access the little known secrets that Tax Relief Firms use.  However, here is what makes this so great.  You Need to Know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about taxation or dealing with the IRS To Benefit Right Away. Remember, you are not alone. It can makes sense to use non profit organizations such as Step for Change. They aim to help ordinary Americans deal with their debt issues.
